Brian was the first to be adopted almost immediately after the launch of the campaign. He is shown below with his new "mom", Kai Magsanoc, a magazine editor.
Kai reports that Brian has gained a lot of weight since she took him in last month and enjoys playing with her young son and their other dog, a spitz named Frodo.

On the other hand, Chris was thin and mangy when we found him wandering aimlessly on Epifanio De los Santos Avenue. Upon hearing Chris' story when he was presented onstage at our Charity Dinner - "Dine with PAWS", an International School teacher approached our shelter staff and revealed his intention to adopt Chris, our second SBBB poster boy.

After the mass and blessing, pet owners with lighted candles and their pets participated in the procession of the life-sized statue of St. Francis of Assisi around Eastwood City.
The teacher came to the shelter on Monday, passed the adoption interview with flying colors and was able to take home Chris that very day.
We'll send you pics of our long-haired handsome model with his new "dad" next week. =)
Thanks to everyone who bought tickets to our Charity Dinner, to our sponsors and to the volunteers & artists who helped make the fundraising event a huge success. The 300 people and 120 dogs who attended helped raise P225,000 for our shelter!
..so that we can continue rescuing and rehoming more Chrises and Brians.
